Passing Marks — What You Actually Need to Pass
This is where students — and unfortunately many result websites — get confused. The passing mark is 40 out of 100 per subject, not 33%.

The rule that matters: Each subject must be passed individually. If you score 45 in five subjects but 38 in Physics — you have not passed. That one subject below 40 means a compartment in Physics only. Your other subjects are fine.

What Happens After You Check Your Result
You passed — now what?
Keep your result card safe. BISE Faisalabad distributes original result cards through schools within 10 to 15 days of result day. This card — not the online printout — is what colleges and universities require for admission. If you lose it, getting a duplicate from the board takes time and money. Treat it like an important document from day one.
You failed in one or two subjects — what now?
This is more common than most students realise. In 2025, nearly half of all BISE Faisalabad 9th class students did not pass on the first attempt.
