Three Groups — An Important Difference from Punjab
Punjab boards announce position holders in two groups — Science and Arts. BISE Mardan announces position holders in three groups — Science, Arts, and Computer Science. This reflects KPK’s distinct examination structure.
If you appeared with Computer Science as your elective subject group, your result and position holder rankings fall under the Computer Science category — not Science or Arts.
This three-group structure is something competitors consistently miss or get wrong. It matters if you are checking position holders and cannot find your group’s ranking on a page that only shows two categories.

33 marks out of 100 per subject — KPK’s passing threshold. This has not changed to 40% like Punjab boards did from 2025.

You passed: Official result cards are distributed through schools within 2 to 3 weeks. For Nowshera students — if your school is near the Attock border area or the Indus flood plains, confirm with your school when the card collection date is. You have a compartment: With 75% passing, roughly 25% of students had at least one compartment. BISE Mardan holds a 2nd annual examination for failed subjects. It is announced shortly after the main result. Apply within the deadline through web.bisemdn.edu.pk.

Mardan Board 9th Class Position Holders 2026
BISE Mardan announces position holders one day before the main result — at a ceremony held at the board auditorium in Mardan city at 10:30 AM. In 2025 this ceremony was held on 28 July 2025, with the main result following on 29 July.
The 2025 position holder ceremony was attended by Commissioner Mardan Nisar Ahmad and Board Chairman Professor Jehanzeb. Muhammad Athar Khan from The Quaid-e-Azam Public School, Mardan, secured 1st position. Second position was shared by three students — Sidra Ahmad (Quaid-e-Azam Girls School, Swabi), Rooza Siraj (Ghazali School, Mardan), and Sania Falak. Third position was also shared by multiple students including Aroosa Anwar from Quaid-e-Azam Girls Public School, Swabi, and Khakan Ahmad from Iqra School, Chargali.
Notably, Swabi students featured prominently in the top positions — showing that academic excellence in BISE Mardan is not limited to Mardan city alone.
