What 2025 Showed Us

In 2025, BISE Abbottabad position holders scored above 1050 out of 1100 in combined 9th and 10th class marks — placing Hazara Division’s top students among KPK’s highest achievers.

The 2025 ceremony was held at the board auditorium in Abbottabad at 10:00 AM — with the main result following at 2:00 PM the same day. Position holders came from Abbottabad city’s established schools, but Haripur students — benefiting from proximity to Islamabad’s educational ecosystem — also featured prominently.

For 9th class specifically, Science group toppers in BISE Abbottabad typically score between 532 and 545 out of 550. Arts group toppers: 507 to 523.

Hazara’s Academic Identity

Hazara Division has historically been one of KPK’s most educationally developed regions. Abbottabad city hosts several of Pakistan’s most prestigious military schools — Army Burn Hall College, Cadet College Abbottabad — alongside strong civilian government and private schools. This creates a competitive academic environment that consistently produces high scorers.

But the other five districts tell a different story. Kohistan has some of Pakistan’s lowest literacy rates. Torghar is one of the country’s newest and least-resourced districts. Battagram struggles with geographic isolation.

When a student from Battagram or Torghar reaches top three in BISE Abbottabad — competing against students from Abbottabad’s best-resourced schools — it is a genuinely exceptional outcome worth recognising.
